The Beatriz Ferraz Support House was created in 2006, from the union of Lares Célia Janotti, for adults and elderly people undergoing hospital treatment, and Januário Carneiro, for children and adolescents in the same conditions. Today the Support House has the capacity to simultaneously serve 42 guests.
The Support House serves adult cancer patients from the Unified Health System (SUS), who come from other locations in Minas Gerais, who are undergoing treatment at one of the Mário Penna Institute hospitals and are unable to pay for their accommodation or services. your companions…
The House offers food (5 meals a day), psychological care, 24-hour assistance staff, leisure activities, library, rest room, playroom and transport (round trip to hospital care), all funded by Instituto Mário Penna .
In addition, the pain is alleviated by the attention, protection, affection and support given by employees and volunteers, through accommodation that offers comfort and dignity.
