Inaugurated in 1986, Luxembourg is one of the units of the Instituto Mário Penna and serves patients with health insurance, private and SUS. In 2016, he performed more than 1 million procedures, in the most diverse specialties.
But, in addition to caring for others, the hospital offers state-of-the-art infrastructure to receive patients and caregivers: there are 258 beds, ICU, Bone Marrow Transplant Unit, Coronary Intensive Care Unit, Surgical Center, Diagnostic Services, a complete Hemodynamics sector, Nuclear Medicine, Endoscopy Center, Clinical Pathology Pathology Anatomy Laboratory, 24-hour Emergency Care, Chemotherapy and Radiotherapy Offices and Services. In addition to equipment for magnetic resonance, ultrasound, mammography, colonoscopy, endoscopy, linear accelerators, tomography and operating rooms for video guided procedures.
In order to offer its patients modern equipment with state-of-the-art technology, the hospital is undergoing a constant process of modernization and updating, through resources raised through partnerships and government programs.
